Poole Accident Repair Centre, a part of the Poole Audi group
We were introduced and recommended by a paint supplier.
We presented plans and a proposal. We were asked to join the project team as engineering consultant which also included the architect and the main contractor. The project team brief was to turn the disused warehouse into an accident repair centre including specialist aluminium booth and VAG outsized vehicles, this is only one of four such centres in the UK.
To compliment the Accident Repair Centre the facilities also included training and conference room together with new and used car PDi centre.
As part of the project team we were able to advice from an early stage regarding the main supply of services to the building which had to be upgraded. Planning permission was obtained even with the site next to it as area of scientific interest.
Our particular part of this project included two XP spray booths with extended length, a matching aluminium booth, ground works, compressed air system, dust extraction system, vehicle lifts and Ambi-rad heating system together with dust free storage on a 180m2 mezzanine floor above the spray booth, separate plant room and a covered wash bay outside. The programme included project management from planning through to completion and handover.
